Exchange Club news

In addition to child abuse prevention as its No. 1 national project, Exchange clubs throughout the United States install FREEDOM SHRINES in schools and public buildings. The National Exchange Club is the sole provider of FREEDOM SHRINES.The Falcon Exchange Club installed a 32-plaque shrine in the Falcon Middle School last November, and now the club is looking to install a shrine in the new high school in late summer or early fall. The long-range goal for the Falcon Exchange Club is to install a FREEDOM SHRINE in every school in District 49.The cost of the shrines varies, based on the size of the installation. As a show of support to the community, individuals and/or business can participate in the project by sponsoring a FREEDOM SHRINE. Sponsorships will be reflected on the dedication plaque that accompanies each shrine. The shrines are semi-permanent installations that remain in the school or public building. They can be rededicated if they are relocated to another facility. The number of FREEDOM SHRINES that can be installed in any given year is limited only by the availability of funds to purchase the plaques and mounting materials. For additional information on this program, call Joe Bauer, 262-9222 or Andy Conder, 495-1466.
