Exchange Club news

The Exchange Club of Falcon celebrated its charter night on Feb. 3. The national president of the Exchange Club, S. Kim Hodges from Provo, Utah; the regional vice president, Sid Mobley, from El Paso, Texas; District President Floyd Holm and his wife, Sandie, from Sandy, Utah; the division director, Carolyn Geisert from Greeley, Colo.; and the president of the Colorado Springs Exchange Club, Susan McAfee Acre, attended the event.Thirty-nine members and guests witnessed the presentation of the club charter, the club banner, the bell and gavel and the swearing in of the club officers. Mike Heidler, co-club builder, received a plaque in recognition of his efforts to build the Falcon Club.Following the formal presentation, four guests became charter members: Glenda Enderle, Linda Gonzales, Ursula Miller and Leonore Miser. With their induction, the Falcon Club now has 31 members.The general meeting was held Feb. 6. Standing committees announced they are ready for community projects. Fundraisers are needed to support the projects. One fundraiser is in the works: a raffle, co-sponsored by the Exchange Club of Colorado Springs, for a seven-day, all-expense paid cruise (part of the cost is donated).
