April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and golfers are welcome to join the Exchange Club of Falcon in the battle against child abuse June 16 at the Antler Creek Golf Course for the eighth annual Child Abuse Prevention Golf Tournament. Registration starts at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Registration fees include 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and the chance to win great door prizes and contests throughout the day, such as the longest putt, longest drive and more.The Exchange Club of Falcon is pleased to host this event to help support the victims of child abuse, while bringing awareness and education about the subject to the public. The Exchange Club has a long history of Americanism, volunteerism, community service and youth programs. Locally, the club supports food pantries, charities for families and at-risk youth, as well as education programs like ìThe Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndromeî and pediatric head trauma. The programs are presented to schools and community organizations that service families and young adults.The proceeds from the golf tournament will go toward the many programs the Exchange supports.
