Exchange Club

The Exchange Club is proud to announce three new members – Don Kissell, Jeff Klimek and Sheila Enos. Christy Stettler, executive director of the Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center at Latigo Trails spoke at the Jan. 8 meeting. The center provides rehabilitation through horseback riding to individuals who are suffering from injury or other mobility restrictions. The center has 13 horses and is financially supported through donations and grants. Stettler plans to expand the program to include support to injured service members.Dr. Andrew Royer of Falcon Family Eye Care was guest speaker at the Jan. 22 meeting. Royer spoke about macular degeneration and other age-related eye problems. He also informed the group about the latest technology in eye care such as laser, medication and surgery to reduce or correct visual deficiencies.The National Headquarters of Exchange Clubs has announced a recruiting program called, STAND UP AMERICA. Under this program, members can join Exchange for 90 days for no dues. Members will be required to pay $10 for their meals.Exchange Club members meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Grill in Latigo Trails.
