Exchange Club

Renee Williams, acting executive director of KPC Kids Place in Colorado Springs, recently spoke at an Exchange Club meeting in Falcon. KPC is a respite facility catering to children from infancy to 7 years. The nonprofit organization is supported through grants and donations. Joe Bauer, president of the Exchange Club, presented a check to Williams on behalf of the Exchange Club’s CAP – Child Abuse Prevention – program.Bob Miller, chairman of CAP, presented Falcon Fire Chief Trent Harwig with 12 Teddy bears. The firefighters will carry the bears in the fire truck and other vehicles. When they respond to an emergency involving a child (witness or victim), they will have the bears handy to present to the child.Members meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Grill in Latigo Trails.
