The 2013 El Paso County Fair queen will be crowned March 9 at the fairgrounds. The committee is seeking young women between the ages of 18 and 22 to represent the El Paso County Fair during the year. The four contest categories are horsemanship, application, public speaking and personal interview.The application deadline is Feb. 21. Application packets can be picked up at the fairgrounds office in Calhan or online at http://elpasocountyfair.com.†Participants must be a single, never married or pregnant female residing in El Paso County.A fair queen clinic will be held Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The clinic, which will provide information and tips in all areas of the contest, is for all potential participants. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory.
