El Paso County Parks and Farmers State Bank partnered on a naming rights initiative at the El Paso County Fair & Events Center. The large pavilion facility, located within the El Paso County Fair & Events Center acreage, will now be known as the Farmers State Bank Pavilion.”Community partnerships are an integral part of our success in El Paso County,” said El Paso County Board of Commissioners Chair, Stan VanderWerf. “This partnership with Farmers State Bank is an opportunity for us to continue to invest in facility upgrades at the Fair & Event Center and showcase the value of community relationships. We are thrilled to partner with Farmers State Bank and grateful for their many years of support to the El Paso County Fair.”El Paso County Parks established The Facilities Naming Rights Program in 2020 to facilitate partnerships within the community and supplement ground improvements. El Paso County Parks staff solicited proposals for naming rights at the El Paso County Fair & Event Center and is proud to partner with Farmers State Bank on this initiative.”I am pleased to continue the relationship that Farmers State Bank and the El Paso County Fair have shared since the fair’s inception in 1905,” said Randy Pieper, Farmers State Bank President. “The evolution of the Fair from an event created to celebrate our agricultural history and a local community gathering to the celebration of our youth’s 4-H projects and the motorized spectacle we experience today is something Farmers State Bank is proud to continue to support. The Bank is honored to have the pavilion officially known as the Farmers State Bank Pavilion.”Farmers State Bank has entered into a 25-year agreement with El Paso County for the naming rights of the Farmers State Bank Pavilion. As part of the agreement, Farmers State Bank provided a one-time fee of $100,000 to El Paso County. The agreement was approved by all parties on August 9, 2022.Farmers State Bank is a family owned and customer focused community bank in eastern El Paso County with branches in Falcon, Ellicott, and headquarters in Calhan, Colorado. The El Paso County Fair & Event Center is a jewel in the El Paso County Parks system crown, located in Calhan, Colorado. The Fair & Event Center is a year-round venue for a wide variety of activities including the annual El Paso County Fair.”El Paso County Parks are an important part of what makes this County a great place to live, work, and visit,” said El Paso County Community Services Executive Director, Todd Marts. “This program is a great way for local businesses to support our parks and partner with us in continuing this legacy for years to come.”
