According to the personal-finance website WalletHub, two in three small business owners said 2020 was their ìhardest year ever.î Wallet Hubb just released its report on the 2021 best largest cities to start a business.WalletHub compared 100 U.S. cities across 21 key indicators of startup viability. The data set ranges from the five-year business-survival rate to COVID-19 cases to office-space affordability.†Top five large cities to start a business1. Laredo, TX2. Durham, NC3. Lubbock, TX4. Orland, FL5. In an effort to help bring these numbers down, the government included $4 billion for substance use and mental health programs in the American Rescue Plan stimulus.This WalletHub report compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 21 key metrics, ranging from arrest and overdose rates to opioid prescriptions and employee drug testing laws.Of 51 states, Colorado came in at No.1 regarding the share of adults who couldnít get treatment for illegal drug use in the last year.No. 4 for the share of adults who used illegal drugs in the past month.No. 5 for the share of teens who used illegal drugs in the past month.No. 6 for the number of drug arrests on college campuses per 1,000 students. And states with legal recreational marijuana donít seem to matter so much. Colorado and Michigan were the only legal recreational marijuana states among the top 10 with the worst drug problems in the country.
