In 1968, students at the University of Colorado Boulder named their new cafeteria grill the “Alferd G. Packer Memorial Grill,î with the slogan, “Have a friend for lunch!” Students can order an “El Canibal” beefburger,î and on the wall is a giant map outlining Packer’s travels through Colorado.[14] It has since been renamed the Alferd Packer Restaurant & Grill.Former Denver Broncoís quarterback Peyton Manning bought 21 Papa Johns franchises in Colorado†before marijuana was legalized. It was the first time in 16 years that the Colorado River, which flows 1,450 miles (2,334 kilometers) from its headwaters in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado†to the sea.
