Six more commercial lots may soon be coming to Falcon. Frank Moore, owner of 9.5 acres on the northeast corner of old Meridian Road and the proposed Meridian Road extension, told NFH writer Kathy Hare that he has submitted a preliminary plan to the county asking that the land be rezoned from rural residential to a planned business center zone district.The project, Meridian Crossing, incorporates six lots ranging from 1.22 acres to 1.97 acres. ìMy family and I are not developing the sites ourselves,î Moore said. ìOnce the land has been rezoned, we will then sell the lots to individual builders who will build the stores.îMoore said the lot sizes could accommodate big-box stores (he mentioned Bed, Bath & Beyond) or a large family restaurant.
