DPC Development Co., a Denver based commercial real estate firm, recently acquired the Shops at Woodmen Hills, the retail center at the southeast corner of Woodmen and Meridian, across from the Wal-Mart Super Center and just south of Safeway. “The property needs some TLC but overall is in good condition,” said DPC Development’s president Chris King.DPC plans on upgrading tenant signage and overall shopping center signage, cleaning up vacant storefronts and marketing for new tenants. Marty Johnson and Jecoah Byrnes of CB Richard Ellis will continue to lease the property for DPC. The 27,700-square-foot center was sold to DPC following a failed commercial mortgage-backed securities loan by the previous owner. The center is currently 58 percent occupied to tenants that include Frankie’s Too!, Domino’s, Oasis Day Spa and Liberty Tax.
