Tensions were high during the Midget Division championship game Nov. 9 between the Woodmen Hills Dawgs and the Meridian Ranch Bulldogs. The fifth and sixth graders played hard, while spectators cheered.The weather was perfect for the match, clear skies and not too cold. Kelly Warren, a Dawgs mom and the Woodmen Hills Elementary principal, expressed her excitement and concern watching her son play; “My heart, the whole game, is on edge.”Her son, Riley, is No. 9 on the Dawgs team and plays quarterback as well as safety.The Bulldogs won 13-6.
