Six Falcon School District 49 schools and programs received the second round of grant funding from the Morgridge Family Foundation and United Way for Reading Plus software in the amount of $25,000. The funds were awarded to Falcon Virtual Academy, Patriot Learning Center, Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Middle School Campus, English Language Development Services, Vista Ridge High School and Skyview Middle School.The schools and programs received matching funds for the grants, taking the total value to $50,000 for 92 concurrent Reading Plus software licenses. The software packages are aimed at building silent reading fluency in students. The funding will allow for three years of software licensing at these schools.This is the second time D 49 has received grants from the Morgridge Family Foundation and the United Way.
