D 49 hosts seminar for special needs families

The Falcon School District 49 Work Alliance Program invites the community to a free ìBlueprintsî seminar for families with special needs Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Vista Ridge High School auditorium, 6888 Black Forest Road. The seminar is designed to teach families how to protect potential government benefits, improve their financial health and build wealth; while addressing specific issues and challenges for families with a special needs member.Speaker Rob Wrubel is a senior investment consultant with Cascade Investment Group. Wrubel, CFPÆ AIF,Æ has created ìBlueprints,î a workbook and financial planning process designed especially for families with a special needs member. Cascade Investment Group is an independent firm headquartered in Colorado Springs. Wrubel speaks to groups regularly about the unique issues these families face in financial planning.Wrubel has a daughter with Down syndrome, and he is actively involved with regional organizations that serve people with disabilities.
