The Colorado High School Activities Association state wrestling competition took place Feb. 18 to Feb. 20 at the Pepsi Center in Denver.Falcon High Schoolís Javani Majoor won top honors in the state in 4A for his weight class. He is Falcon Highís first champion since 1989 and the only champion from the Colorado Springs metro area. The team finished ninth. This is the third year in a row they have finished in the top 10. Jeremiah Sandiford placed third and Joseph Lovato Bakke placed fourth. Vista Ridge High Schoolís team placed 14th overall. Wes Coddington placed fourth and Solomon Arnds placed second in their weight categories.Sand Creek High School was represented at the state championship by Israel Oketunmbi who won two out of four matches.
