Since the February opening of Colorado Crafters Outlet Store in Calhan, crafters have had an opportunity to pursue their passions for profit.Owner Pat Meyers said she established Colorado Crafters to offer space to crafters who want to ìget back to workî and sell their wares.Meyers, a retired hairdresser and Calhan resident for 18 years, leases space for up to 85 crafters who want to sell their products to the public. Meyers is one of the crafters. She makes and sells dog beds and tug toys.ìThe most important thing is that we want people to know we are helping Americans get back to work,î Meyers said. ìPeople are getting a chance to sell their products and get back to their craft again.î The shop is open to local crafters as well as crafters throughout the nation.Colorado Crafters Outlet Store is at 485 Colorado St. and is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
