Falcon resident Jill Bennett has already proven her ability to create a recipe for success in the restaurant business. Bennett opened and operated My Sister’s Kitchen in Colorado Springs. The restaurant, now owned by Bennett’s relatives, is still going strong after 17 years. Bennett knows the business – she’s been in it since age 15.She brought her expertise to Falcon and on Nov. 26 reopened the Rock Island Restaurant as Jill’s Country CafÈ. The cafÈ is open for breakfast and lunch, with “homemade” being the key word. Bennett hopes to entice a regular crowd with homemade cinnamon rolls and soups and omelets, burgers and a variety of specials.Hours: Monday through Saturday – 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Sundays – 7 a.m. to noon.Visit the new cafÈ on McLaughlin Road, in the strip mall across the street from Bartlett Hay.
