- Community Rally Day June 29 ñ Grace Community Church
- Fried chicken and water from Safeway; RV parking at Safeway and Walmart
- Renee Bartlett of Bartlett Hay & Feed said several people†gave her†money to cover†animal feed for evacuees and animals†in need. One man contributed $500.
- One church group brought 60 pizzas to the FFPD Station 1 during the fire.
- The crews then distributed the pizzas to the firefighters out on the lines.
- FFPD overflowed with food and goods donated by citizens and organizations: water, Gatorade, granola bars, etc.
- Animal shelters such as Kit Carson Riding Club (at Black Forest Road and Cowpoke) received animal feed from many donors, including some from outside our area. The club was also behind efforts to evacuate horses and other animals.
- Veterinarians assisted with animal rescue, transport, medical care and housing.
- And the list goes on and on and on.
