Leah Barker, a sophomore at McNeese State University in Louisiana, who hails from Falcon, tied for second place in the first go round with a 3.2 second run at a college rodeo hosted by Texas A&M University Rodeo Club in College Station, Texas. The McNeese State Cowgirls scored their fifth women’s team victory at the April event.McNeese State also qualified none student athletes for the 2005 College National Finals Rodeo, which takes place June 12 through June 18 in Casper, Wyo. Leah Barker placed second in the second go round in breakaway roping and finished second in the two-head average for the rodeo.
