Choices are building as businesses choose Falcon

T-Bone Construction broke ground mid-November on a new medical professional building that is under construction west of the Block Buster video store. Mike Thidault, president, said T-Bone has started construction on a two-story building with 20,400 square feet of space. Medical professionals will occupy 60 to 70 percent of the building, Thidault said. The project is scheduled for completion the third quarter of 2007.Another T-Bone Construction project is on tap south of Walgreens off McLaughlin Road. Plans for the Shops at McLaughlin include 6,000 square feet designated for retail.Thidault said a dry cleaning business has been confirmed as one of the tenants. “They are a full-service dry cleaning business, not just pick up and drop off,” he said. “They are very reputable and already have a business but are looking to relocate out here in Falcon.”Thidault said he has a long list of retailers interested in the space, but he is weighing all options before leasing to another business. “We are going to look at all of them and then decide who will work best in there,” he said. “But they are all great retailers who will work out well in that area.”The project should be completed by the end of May, Thidault said. Brief update on Falcon Highlands MarketplaceIt’s the site of the Wal-Mart Super Center, and Falcon Highlands Marketplace project manager John Romero of the Regency Center in Denver provided only a teaser of information on the progress of the marketplace.”We have about 10 to 15 businesses in the works,” he said, quickly adding that he did not have any names to “officially announce at this time.” And no completion dates as well. Key Construction in Kansas did not return phone calls.
