Lise Andersen and Terry Murray, dog trailers, are hosting the Black Forest Fire Benefit Sheep Dog Trial, with all proceeds distributed to fire victims and their animals through Tri-Lakes Cares in Monument. The hostsí respective homes flanked opposite sides of the burn area, and Liseís equine vet clinic had to be evacuated (along with her 80 sheep), but both were fortunate to come out of this with everyone and everything accounted for.† Dan Korf will donate his sheep for this benefit. If you are unable to join us, consider taking part through the ìIn Spiritî donation. Send in your entry, spiritually ìrunningî any dog you wish you could run at a dog trial! Just download the†Black Forest Fire Benefit SDT entry form, complete it, add the name of your in-spirit dog and send your donation to Terry Murray, whose address is listed on the entry form. In return, Tri-Lakes Cares will send you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. The trial will be held Sunday, July 7 at the Tabletop trial field in Colorado Springs.
