Frontier Charter Academy, an 8-year-old public charter school, announced the dedication of their new building site located at 1350 8th St. Over the past year, FCA conducted extensive building and site development research in the Calhan area before selecting the property.The new facility will accommodate kindergarten through sixth grade classrooms, a gymnasium/cafeteria, faculty work room, library and computer laboratory. FCA will offer the Core Knowledge Curriculum. Additional resources for students include Shurley Grammar, Spaulding Language Arts, Gifted & Talented Program, Open Court Reading and Everyday Math.FCA thanked the students, parents, faculty, FCA Board of Trustees, the Calhan Board of Education, Interim Superintendent Dr. Ververs, Mountain View Baptist Church and the community at large for their dedication and support.
