Chamber unveils new website

At the Nov. 2 meeting, Ryan Nielson appeared via Zoom from California, where he works for a company called Chamber Nation. Nielson developed the new website for the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce, and explained it to the members.ìWhat you have as a chamber member is a gold mine of resourcesî is how Nielson described the new system. He relayed a large volume of information about the website, which he compared to ìdrinking from a fire hydrant.îìThe more you do, the more it is going to positively impact your business,î he added.Nielson said the system is fully secure and gives members access to newsletters, press releases and upcoming events. The website displays individual membership status and billing information regarding chamber dues. The website also has the capacity to publicize events for the communityîTech support is free of charge,î he said. The website displays information on chamber members’ businesses such as contact information and business hours. As an example of how this feature could be used, Nielson said a hairstylist could use the website to schedule appointments. Members can edit the information as well. He added that if a member already has a website, the chamber website will include a link to the member’s website. ìWe don’t try to lead people away from your website, we take them to your website.îVisit the website at https://easternplainschamber.com.
