Promoting good health and practicing sound business management principles were the topics discussed at the Aug. 4 meeting of the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce. Chamber members Regina Spriggs, independent distributor for LifeVantage, and Bryan Lewis of With-it Payments discussed their businesses.LifeVantage is a company that uses science to approach health differently. The company markets several herbal products and specializes in nutrigenomics ñ- using nutrients to affect gene expression. They also use plant extracts to slow down the aging process. Spriggs stressed that her company’s products do not cure, prevent or mitigate diseases. ìYou don’t necessarily feel the results,î she said. ìBut the doctors can tell you it does work.î LifeVantage products fight inflammation, Spriggs said. She said their products support overall brain health, help the body fight off dementia and reduce the need for blood thinners. ìOur products are not vitamins and do not interrupt any prescribed medications,î Spriggs said. ìOur products are activators, not supplements.îLewis has a background in the jewelry repair business, which includes working on Super Bowl rings and celebrities’ jewelry. He is now involved in merchant services with a company called With-it Payments. Lewis evaluates business and makes recommendations. ìIt’s how you set up your business,î Lewis said. ìMerchant services is a great business, and I love it. I want to help businesses grow. We want to help businesses keep as much money as they can.î Merchant services is also involved in processing credit cards.
