On May 10, the Car Connection at 8345 Bluegill Dr. is hosting a grand opening celebration. The family owned and operated auto sales and repair business has been open since November, said William Weir.The grand opening will feature raffles from OíReillyís Auto Parts and free battery testing. Also planned is a raffle for a free oil and filter change. The festivities take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From noon to 2 p.m., refreshments like hot dogs will be served.Weir is currently active military. He served with the U.S. Army at Fort Carson for the last five years. He is leaving the service in about a month to focus on the business. Weir is planning to donate 10 percent of car sales to the Wounded Warriors program.
