CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Board of Education of Falcon School District 49 in the county of El Paso, state of Colorado, calls for the nomination of candidates for school board directors. Nominations will be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election, which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6.Voters will elect two directors, who will serve four-year terms. To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector and a resident of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election. Anyone convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child is not eligible to run for the school board.Candidates for the school board director openings shall file a written notice of intent and a nomination petition, in accordance with the law.Nomination petitions are available at the administrative offices of Falcon School District 49: 10850 East Woodmen Road in Falcon. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Completed petitions should be submitted to Loretta Branham, D 49 designated election official, by 4 p.m. Aug. 31.IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The Board of Education of Falcon School District 49, in the county of El Paso and state of Colorado, has caused this call for nominations to be given this 12th day of July 2007.
