The sixth annual Calhan Summerfest Celebration, a kickoff to the El Paso County Fair, celebrates its 50th anniversary of the town with a day of fun in the park.Bring your family to the park on 8th street on Friday, July 12.There will be a variety of activities for the young and old, including live music, vendors, a BBQ dinner, games, giveaways and prizes, a petting zoo and much more!Calhan is a small rural/agricultural community and host to the El Paso County Fair. We are a proud community with a rich history and heritage. Calhan was incorporated in 1919, due in large part to the Rock Island Rail Line that ran through town. Attendance at this event has climbed from 750 the first year to over 1,200 in its sixth year.Bring your family for fun, music and food! If someone is interested in participating, they are seeking donations, sponsorships and vendors.
