On Sept. 14, the Community Outreach Coalition is hosting the ninth annual Health and Education Fair, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the El Paso County Fairgrounds; Whittemore building ó 366 10th St. in Calhan. The event is free and open to the public. The Calhan Alumni is providing a lunch to raise money for the scholarship fund. Learn about health-related and other services in communities that include Calhan, Edison, Elbert Elizabeth, Ellicott, Falcon, Hanover, Kiowa, Limon, Matheson, Peyton, Ramah, Rush, Simla and Yoder. About 60 vendors will participate, including the Alzheimerís Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Stable Strides, High Prairie Library, Rock Solid Chiropractic and many more.
