The Small Business Development Center will hold workshops in May:
- “Selling to the Government- GSA Scheduling,” Tuesday, May 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no cost. This workshop is presented by the Region 8 GSA Small Business Utilization Center. It is designed to tell you what a GSA schedule is, why you want a GSA schedule, who uses GSA schedules and how to obtain a GSA schedule.
- “Common Legal Issues When Starting a Small Business,” Thursday, May 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $15. This workshop will cover common legal issues when starting a small business, including legal entities, business licenses and taxes, contracts and leases, marketing and advertising practices, consumer credit and debt collection, employment practices, intellectual property protection and bankruptcy.
