Woodmen Hills hosted a business fair at the East Recreation Center Sept. 20. About 20 business vendors, ranging from home-based jewelry sellers to Pampered Chef to RE/MAX, provided goods and information to visitors.Southern Maid Donuts handed out free glazed donuts and coupons for another free donut in the store. The weather cooperated, with a warm and sunny day, which also could have been the reason for fewer visitors to the fair. ìIt has been kind of slow. I expected a few more,î said Rhonda White from Paparazzi.Jolly Jump, an inflatable bounce house rental company, set up a bouncer for the kids to enjoy.† Other kidsí games such as a giant Jenga, matching floating ducks, and a bean bag toss were provided by Hope and Home, a toy drive for foster kids. Lydia Ward from American Heritage Girls spearheaded the activities.
