McLaughlin/Old Meridian Road Improvement projectThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a memorandum of agreement, a non-exclusive permanent easement and a real property donation from property owned by Tamlin Ventures LLC regarding the McLaughlin/Old Meridian Road Improvement project.Largent subdivisionThe BOCC unanimously approved the final release of funds for grading and erosion control and storm drain improvements to the Largent subdivision for $12,413.90. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Paint Brush HillsThe commissioners unanimously approved the final release of a letter of credit for grading and erosion control and storm drain improvements to Paint Brush Hills Filing 13E for $107,755.25. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Cordero propertyThe BOCC unanimously approved a request by Angel Cordero for a minor subdivision to create two single-family residential lots on a 35.5-acre property, zoned agricultural-35 and located on the west side of Ellicott Highway, about 1.5 miles north of Highway 94. The subdivision approval allows that the two existing single-family dwellings on the subject parcel be located on separate lots so each can be sold independently from the other. The property is located within the boundaries of the Ellicott Valley Comprehensive Plan.The commissioners also unanimously approved a request by Cordero to rezone the 35.5-acre property from A-35 to A-5.Poenitsch propertyThe BOCC unanimously approved a request by Tom Poenitsch and Christy Mullins for a minor subdivision to create three single-family residential lots on an 18.86-acre property, zoned residential rural-5 and located on the northwest corner of the Herring Road and Shoup Road intersection. The property is within the boundaries of the Black Forest Preservation Plan.Rolling Thunder Business ParkThe commissioners unanimously approved the final release of funds for grading and erosion control for the Rolling Thunder Business Park Filing No. 1 Lots 9 and 10 for $26,009.40. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Pete Lien & Sons Batch PlantOn March 20, Fehr & Peers, a transportation consultant, submitted the findings of a traffic impact study on the proposed ready mix concrete batch plant on property owned by Pete Lien & Sons Inc., located at the intersection of Judge Orr Road and Stapleton Drive. The results of the study led to Fehr & Peers recommending the following: a traffic signal should be installed at the intersection of Highway 24 and Stapleton Road; an auxiliary left-turn lane is needed on Stapleton Road at the proposed plant access point; and a multiuse path to allow for multimodal travel is needed on Stapleton Road through the study area.
