Albrecht EstatesThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners approved a request by Cynthia Jensen on behalf of herself and Brad Jensen, Tim and Amber Albertson, Lisa Clark, David Strine, Michael and Shannon Hoops, Jarrad Farlin, Clyde Trees and Mitch Albrecht to rezone seven parcels located north of Judge Orr Road and east of McClelland Road. The parcels, totaling 308.78 acres, are currently zoned planned unit development but the property owners are requesting a change to an agricultural zoning district. The property is located within the Falcon/Peyton Small Area Plan.Meridian RanchThe BOCC approved the final release of bond money for grading and erosion control in the Stonebridge at Meridian Ranch Filing No. 3 subdivision for $793,718. Eighty percent of the improvements have been completed and inspected; the remaining grading and erosion control items will be collateralized with a separate bond.El Paso County fairgroundsThe commissioners approved a revocable non-exclusive license agreement between EPC and Mountain View Electric Association to expand electrical service at the EPC fairgrounds. The county has requested an underground electrical extension from MVEAís existing service and the installation of a new electric transformer from MVEA to service the 4-H campground, located at the fairgrounds.Falcon dog parkThe BOCC approved $45,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado grants to fund improvements at the Falcon dog park. The park will be located along Stapleton Road, about one-quarter mile north of the existing Falcon Regional Park, and will include a parking lot, 5-foot-high perimeter fence and standard regulation and identification signage.Settlers RanchThe commissioners approved the first partial release of a letter of credit for grading and erosion control in the Settlers Ranch Filing 2B subdivision for $28,245.20. The remaining $31,249.80 will serve as defect warranty collateral. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Fletes Contractorís equipment yardThe BOCC denied a request from Cesar and Elia Fletes for a variance of use to legalize an existing contractorís equipment yard associated with a business that is currently in a residential rural zoning district. The 35-acre property is located on the north side of Falcon Highway, about 1.13 miles east of the intersection of Falcon Highway and Highway 24.EPC Water Master PlanThe commissioners heard an update from the planning and community development department regarding the EPC Water Master Plan process, including acknowledgement of the steering committee members.
