Flying Horse NorthThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted to continue the Flying Horse North agenda item from their Nov. 15 meeting to their Dec. 13 meeting. The agenda item was a request by PRI#2 LLC to rezone about 1,417 acres of a residential rural zone to a planned unit development zone. The property is south of Hodgen Road, west of Black Forest Road and east of Highway 83.Sun PrairieThe BOCC approved a request from Sun Prairie Land Corp. to rezone 26.19 acres from PUD zoning to agricultural zoning. The property is located on the southeast side of U.S. Highway 24, about one-third-mile northeast of the intersection of the highway and Judge Orr Road.Stonebridge at Meridian Ranch Filing 2The commissioners approved a request from GTL Inc. for the final plat of Stonebridge at Meridian Ranch Filing 2 to create 73 single-family residential lots, rights-of-way, and an open space tract. The area, located at the southwest corner of the Londonderry Drive and Mt. Princeton Drive intersection, is zoned PUD. The parcel, 15.68 total acres, is within the boundaries of the Falcon/Peyton Small Area Master Plan.Vistas at Meridian RanchThe BOCC approved a request from GTL Inc. for the Vistas at Meridian Ranch PUD on 56.10 total acres. The PUD also included the preliminary plan. The parcel is located on the south side of where Londonderry Drive and Lambert Road connect, about one-third-mile east of Eastonville Road. It is within the boundaries of the Falcon/Peyton Small Area Master Plan.The commissioners also approved a request from GTL for the final plat of the Vistas at Meridian Ranch Filing 1 to develop 221 single-family lots on 35.23 acres, 12.89 acres of rights-of-way and 7.98 acres of open-space tracts on the approved PUD parcel.Falcon Regional ParkThe BOCC approved a Local Parks and Outdoor Recreation Mini Grant application that will be submitted to the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund for construction of a dog park at Falcon Regional Park. The total project budget is $60,000, with $45,000 from the Great Outdoors Colorado grant, $13,500 in required match funds from restricted park funds and a $1,500 donation from the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce.Oil Well Road Bridge replacement projectThe commissioners approved a resolution to enter an intergovernmental agreement between the county and the Colorado Department of Transportation for construction of the Oil Well Road Bridge replacement project. The project includes demolition of the existing timber bridge and construction of a new bridge, along Oil Well Road, about .9 miles north of Funk Road. The proposed bridge is a 120-foot-long, three-span, prestressed concrete slab bridge, with a pile type foundation.According to the IGA, the contract amount totals $2,391,060, with $1,912,848 from federal funds and $478,212 from a local matching fund.Construction is anticipated to begin in 2017.Falcon Park and Ride projectThe BOCC unanimously approved a resolution to recognize federal revenue and appropriate expenditures of $366,095 for design services for the Falcon Park and Ride project, near the intersection of ìNewî Meridian Road and U.S. Highway 24.
