Providence Point ñ final platThe El Paso County Planning Commission unanimously approved a request by Marc and Cheryl Haes for the final plat of a 35.36-acre parcel known as Providence Point. The parcel is zoned residential rural and is south of Hodgen Road and west of Farrar Drive, within the Black Forest Preservation Plan. The final plat creates six single family residential lots totaling 32.89 acres, a 1.10-acre private road tract and a .06-acre tract to be used for a fire suppression cistern.Cathedral Pines ñ revenue and expendituresThe EPC Board of County Commissioners approved the revenue and appropriate expenditures from Cathedral Pines by Kings Deer to the Parks Operations Division 2016 budget in the amount of $29,054. The money helped support improvements at Black Forest Regional Park.Beierle ñ minor subdivisionThe commissioners unanimously approved a request by Gary and Gene Beierle for a minor subdivision that will create two 10-acre lots from their 20-acre property, which is zoned residential rural. It is located one-half-mile southwest of the intersection of Black Squirrel Road and Walker Road, and is included in the Black Forest Preservation Plan.MVEA ñ non-exclusive license agreementThe BOCC approved a revocable non-exclusive license agreement among the EPC Community Services Department, the Parks Division and Mountain View Electric Association for the installation and maintenance of an electrical transformer and power lines at the county fairgrounds. The new infrastructure will provide permanent lighting and electrical service to the newly-constructed livestock pavilion, an expansion to the existing Owens Livestock Arena Building.Bennett Ranch Channel ProjectThe commissioners approved the ratification of a construction contract and purchase order award to 53 Corp. LLC, for the construction of the Bennett Ranch Channel Project. The work will mainly consist of regrading the flow line and banks of that portion of the Bennett Ranch Creek, as well as armoring the channel with exposed riprap (loose stones) and soil riprap. The riprap will then be covered in topsoil, seeded and protected with straw mulch and an erosion control blanket. The contract and purchase order totaled $1,648,040.The BOCC also approved a purchase order to Kleinfelder Inc. to provide construction management, inspection and materials testing services for the Bennett Ranch Creek Channel Repair Project in the amount of $72,887.04.Funding for the project is provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service through the Emergency Watershed Protection Program ñ Recovery.Walden Preserve 2, Filing 3 ñ vacation and re-platThe commissioners approved a request from Custom Castles Building Co. for a vacation and re-plat of the Walden Preserve 2, Filing 3 subdivision. The five parcels are located at the intersection of Needles Drive and Walden Way, within the Black Forest Preservation Plan. The parcels total 18.48 acres and are zoned planned unit Development. The proposed final plat includes four single-family residential lots totaling 4.03 acres and a 14.46-acre open-space tract.Meridian Ranch Liquor ñ retail liquor store license applicationThe BOCC approved an application by MR Liquor for a retail liquor store license for the premises located at 11890 Stapleton Drive, known as Meridian Ranch Liquor.Bent Grass Filing No. 1 ñ final release of letter of creditThe commissioners approved the final release of the letter of credit for public improvements, including grading and erosion control, of Bent Grass Residential Filing No. 1 in the amount of $25,330.80. All of the public improvements have been completed and inspected by the county.Descarís Roadside Bar & Grill ñ transfer of license ownershipThe BOCC approved a transfer of ownership from the existing hotel and restaurant liquor license, Beauís Roadhouse, to Descarís Roadside Bar & Grill for operation at the same location, 6750 Shoup Road.
