Meridian Ranch Estates Filing 11The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners heard a request from GTL Development for approval of the plans to finalize the Planned Unit Development. The 105.8-acre development includes 35.8 acres for 200 single-family lots, 19.2 acres of rights-of-way and 33.2 acres of open space. GTL also presented a request for approval of the preliminary plan and final plat on Filing 11 at that time. All three items were approved.Paintbrush HillsResidents in the Paintbrush Hills subdivision received notification that Babcock Land Corp. is proposing a final plat for an 89-lot single-family development at the intersection of Stapleton Drive and Towner Avenue, west of Meridian Road. The proposed site is 18.8 acres and is currently undeveloped. A zoning request, which is currently under review with EPC, would categorize the area as Residential Suburban RS 5000, requiring that each lot be a minimum of 5,000 square feet.The final plat would create the 89 single-family lots, rights-of-way and easements within the development. Adjacent property owners will be notified of the time and place for the public hearing on this request so that comments and concerns can be addressed in writing or in person.
