Paint Brush Hills subdivisionThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the release of a letter of credit for subdivision improvements to Paint Brush Hills Filing No. 14 for $276,021.20. All improvements have been completed and inspected.Black Forest Regional ParkThe commissioners unanimously approved a purchase order to FieldTurf USA Inc. for the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of two existing tennis courts in Black Forest Regional Park to the parks division of the EPC Community Services Department for $273,915. The two courts are in poor shape because of age, and pose possible safety issues. The courts and fencing will be demolished, and new courts and fencing will be constructed. The courts will be lined for tennis and pickleball play.EPC sheriffís office Falcon substationThe BOCC unanimously approved a contract to D2C Architects Inc. for the design and architecture of the EPC sheriffís office Falcon substation, to be located at 12072 Royal County Down Road in Falcon for $385,584. The building will be about 10,000 to 16,000 square feet and will provide services to citizens in the area, including the concealed handgun permits, records, patrol, investigations, internal investigations, a community meeting room and space for the clerk and records, treasurer and assessor.Homestead North subdivisionThe commissioners unanimously approved a request by SR Land LLC for the preliminary plan for Homestead North Phase 1, located at the northeast corner of the Vollmer Road and Briargate Parkway intersection. The plan will create 147 single-family residential lots on 77.7 acres, zoned residential rural-5 and residential suburban-6000.Retreat at Timber Ridge subdivisionThe BOCC unanimously approved a request by Arroya Investments LLC to amend the preliminary plan for the Retreat at Timber Ridge to allow the BOCC to authorize administrative final plats on the 234.05-acre development area. The property is zoned planned unit development and is located north of the Stapleton Road/Briargate Parkway extension and bisected by Vollmer Road.Flying Horse North subdivisionThe commissioners unanimously approved a request by Classic Consulting to amend the final plat for the Flying Horse North Filing No. 2 to allow the BOCC to authorize administrative final plats on the 2.89-acre development area. The property is zoned PUD and is located west of Highway 23, south of Hodgen Road and east of Black Forest Road.Falcon Drainage Basin projectThe BOCC unanimously approved assignment of credits and disbursement of drainage funds for the Falcon Drainage Basin to Evergreen-Meridian & Woodmen LLC for construction of public drainage improvements. After the disbursement, Evergreen will be paid in full for the work.
