The Meadows at Lorson RanchThe El Paso County Board of County Commissioners approved the final plat for The Meadows at Lorson Ranch Filing 3. The filing is east of Marksheffel Road and south of Fontaine Boulevard, just east of the intersection at Old Glory Road.The filing consists of three parcels, measuring 36.9 acres total, and is zoned ìplanned unit development.î The Lorson North Development Corp. has requested approval for the following: 138 single family residential lots measuring 22.6 acres total; three tracts measuring 6.47 acres that will be used for a park, landscaping, drainage, noise walls, pedestrian access, utilities and open space; and the remaining 7.83 acres will be for right-of-way roads.GrandView Estates subdivisionCounty commissioners also approved the final plat for the GrandView Estates subdivision. The plat is at the southwest corner of Peyton Highway and Joyful View and consists of four parcels totaling 106 acres; itís zoned ìresidential rural.î The GrandView Partners LLC and Classic Media Money Purchase Plan and Trust are seeking approval for 13 lots within the parcel, with a minimum of 5 acres each.Black Forest Road and Burgess Road intersectionConstruction of the intersection of Black Forest and Burgess roads began May 28. The project will improve the surface of the road, add left and right turn lanes and shoulders, as well as replace the stoplight at the intersection. The project will also improve drainage in the area.The construction will extend about one quarter of a mile in all directions along these roads; all roads are expected to remain open throughout the construction process. Businesses along the construction route will be open and accessible. Work is expected to be completed by September 2013.The project is funded by the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority and El Paso County.
