Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society

The Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society presents acoustic music in the winter months from Sept. through May. The group meets on the third Friday at the Cowboy Church of Peyton at15540 Bradshaw Road (1 mile north of Murphy Road);families are encouraged to attend. For those who play instruments, an open jam session begins at 5:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7. Concerts include two open-stage performers, followed by a featured act. Refreshments are available, and the cost is $5 for general admission, $3 for members; kids under age 16 get in free. The Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society begins its new fall season Sept. 19 with Liz Masterson, Songbird of the West, Mike and Bonnie Coats, aka The Tune Farmers and an opener yet to be announced. Liz is a founding board member of the Western Music Association, winner of the Western Music Female Performer of the Year and has played at such prestigious venues as the Smithsonian, the Kennedy Center and the Lincoln Center. The Tune Farmers have been performing mountain bluegrass music in the Denver area, blending their voices to create an Appalachian mountain sound. You canít beat an evening like this for $5.
