The historic Black Forest Log School will be open for visitors Thursday afternoons from noon to 3 p.m. starting June 17 and running through Aug. 12. The school is at 6770 Shoup Road, just west of the corner of Black Forest and Shoup roads. Bring the children or out-of-town guests for a step back in time to life in a one-room school without running water or electricity. Docents are on duty to answer questions. Group tours may be scheduled any time of the year by calling 495-2001 or 495-2178. If interested in a morning story time for primary children, call 495-3017.
