Visits to the historic Black Forest Log School are free. The one-room school served grades one through eight from 1922 to 1945 with no modern conveniences. The school is open from noon to 3 p.m. Thursdays June 16 through Aug. 11. It is located at 6770 Shoup Road, just west of Black Forest Road. Questions: call 495-2001 or 495-3017.
