The Black Forest Community Club will hold its annual Black Forest Festival Aug. 11. Kicking off the festival is a pancake breakfast at 6:30 a.m.; the parade starts at 10:30 a.m., and Jon Karroll from KRDO TV is the parade announcer.ìWe hope this will be our best biggest festival yet,î said Eddie Bracken, chairman of the Black Forest Festival, ìWe have something for the whole family. Our theme is ëEveryone in the Forest is Familyí and that goes for our guests as well.îThe festival will feature the U.S. Air Force Academy Jazz Band, ìThe Falconaires.îThe arts and craft fair, food booths, games for the kids and other surprised round out the festival, which ends at 3 p.m.For more information, visit http://bfcommunityclub.org.
