The Black Forest Arts & Crafts Guild named Morgan Pinto as this year’s $1,000 scholarship award recipient. Of the numerous scholarship applications that were received, Pinto’s stood out and highly impressed the selection committee. Applicants were evaluated based on academic competence, community involvement and school participation.Pinto attends Lewis Palmer High School, where he participates in lacrosse, wrestling and men’s choir. Pinto volunteers at Penrose Hospital, Marion House Soup Kitchen, Mr. Biggs’ Saves Christmas and the Athletic Association of Black Forest. He plans to attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for undergraduate study and the University of Colorado at Denver for post-graduate study. Pinto has volunteered at Penrose Hospital in the physical therapy department the past year.
