Black Forest AARP annual Chapter 1100 Picnic

Submitted by Stan Beckner

The traditional AARP Chapter 1100 annual picnic was held in a covered pavilion at the Black Forest Regional Park July 9. The picnic was well attended. The entrée and major dishes were catered, and individual chapter members brought a large variety of delicious side dishes and desserts.

A short business meeting confirmed that the chapter’s plans for a free shredding event and participation in the Black Forest Festival were both near completion. A fun bingo session with donated prizes completed the afternoons activities.

Several members came dressed for the occasion like Ray and Lin Rozak.

Bev Schaab and other Chapter members had plenty of time to chat before and during the picnic celebration.

The food was plentiful so there were many opportunities for second helpings.
