Bill Callenís Pikes Peak New Horizons Band has moved to the Awakening Church, 3445 Oro Blanco in Colorado Springs ó a block north of the intersection of Oro Blanco and South Carefree Circle.A fall concert will be held Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Awakening Church sanctuary. It is free and open to the public. The Gold Concert Band, 49 members strong, will be the first to perform. After a short intermission, the select Swingmasters Jazz Band will be stage center.Bill Callen, director, and Mark Israel, associate director, will conduct the bands. The Gold Concert Bandís performance includes work with dramatic, broad contrasting rhythms; a tribute to Gershwin; and a musical interpretation of the flight of the jet fighter.The Swingmasters Jazz Band, comprised of 15 talented musicians, will play big band favorites.
