The Saint Benedict Catholic Church of Falcon will host its first annual Spring Barn Dance and BBQ April 20, from 6 p.m. until midnight, at the parish hall at 12150 Falcon Highway. A limit of 400 tickets will be sold, in advance or at the door. The dinner’s main course includes spit-roasted BBQ pork and side dishes. Besides dinner, there will be music and dancing, raffles and cash drawings ñ and a silent auction featuring 15 themed overflowing baskets. Hannah Burrer and Amy Dalton will play the violin (fiddle) western instrumentals from 6 to 7 p.m.Tickets include dinner and non-alcoholic drinks but beer and wine will be available to purchase throughout the evening.From 8 p.m. to midnight, Bobby Sorden, DJ from Sensational Sounds, will provide musical entertainment.† Bobby was voted the Gold Award Best of the Springs DJ for both 2011 and 2012.† In addition, Barb Thacker from Cowboy’s Night Club will lead participants in line dancing and couples dancing.
