Summer break is about to end for D 49 students.Aug. 4 is the first day for all middle school students and ninth graders. Freshman at both Falcon High School and Sand Creek will receive a LINK mentor (upper classmen are paired with freshman) and grades 10 through 12 will report on Aug. 5 for a normal day. Elementary students begin on Aug. 8 with the exception of kindergartners who will start on Aug. 10.Sand Creek will be on a split schedule this year. See below for start and stop times for all D 49 schools.Falcon High School’s LINK crew is sponsoring a “Back to School” dance on Aug. 5, and the cost to attend is $5. Sand Creek High School is sponsoring a “Back to School” Luau also on Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. Food and drink will be available for purchase.Meridian Ranch Elementary will be assessing each student’s literacy skills on Aug. 4 or Aug. 5.
