Falcon’s Dane Balcon American Legion Post 2008 will have a Golf Challenge Tournament at the Ft. Carson Golf Course Aug. 18. There will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and the format will be a scramble. There will be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive in the fairway and the winners of the competition. Anyone who wants to play in this event is invited to sign up as a guest. The cost is $65 for active and retired military, and $75 for Legionnaires and guests. Included in the golf package is 18 holes of golf with a cart and GPS, a complete BBQ chicken lunch and a free round of golf for each participate within 60 days of the event.
