Adopt Me

Gypsy is a female Maltese and is about 8 years old. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Salida, Colo., so she was a very shy girl. When she arrived at SAINT, she was shaking from head to toe, but she is doing much better now that she’s living in a foster home.Gypsy lived in a cage her entire life, so she is understandably still a bit fearful of the human hand. Even with her fears she is beginning to love attention.Gypsy is spayed and is up to date with all her shots including rabies. She has some dental problems, but we are hoping to get that corrected soon. Gypsy had a mammary tumor that has been removed. She also has a slight heart murmur but our veterinarian says it is nothing to worry about.Gypsy has never been around children or cats. She gets along well with small dogs but like any other adoption she will need time to adjust. Gypsy loves her newfound freedom. Now, all she needs is a loving permanent home and family. If you are interested in adopting Gypsy into your family, please call SAINT Animal Rescue in Calhan, at 719-541-3099.It is always a challenge when adopting a new pet. SAINT Animal Rescue asks the adopter to give the animal a reasonable amount of time to adjust to its new family and environment. This is so very important to your new family member as well as your existing family members. Please visit our Web site at www.saintanimalrescue.org, and, as always, thank you for caring.
