AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation assistance and electronic filing beginning Feb. 1 and continuing through April 15 at 13 locations in the Colorado Springs area. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and IRS certified each year to ensure they know and understand the latest changes to the U.S. Tax Code. In 2019, the programís volunteers helped 2.8 million people navigate complicated tax codes, ensure proper credits and deductions and file their federal and state tax returns. You donít have to be an AARP member and there is no age requirement to get tax help from IRS-certified volunteers.
