  Meridian Ranch Center events

     Ongoing Active Older Adult classes
   AOA —  11 a.m.: Use of a chair for sitting and standing support. The class will lift hand-held weights and utilize the stretch band and small exercise balls for strength.
   Hatha (gentle) Yoga: 1 p.m.: A gentle stretching/deep breathing class standing on the floor with a mat
   AOA 2: — 10 a.m.: Increasing the heart rate plus strength training with the workout equipment. Some floor exercises are available if attendees are interested.
   Seated/standing yoga — 11 a.m.: Seated and standing yoga poses with assistance from a chair
   Strength and balance — 1 p.m.: Core and lower body strength for better balance; a chair is also provided for assistance. Exercises for better balance include moves and poses such as standing on one leg, walking one foot in front of the other, lunges, etc.
   Zumba: Tuesday at 5 p.m. and Friday at 11 a.m.
   Note: Pickle ball hours have changed. Pickle ball is now on Wednesdays: advanced players 4 p.m.—5:15; beginners/learning players, from 6:30 –- 8 p.m.
   November events
   11/1: Fly swatter volleyball — every Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (subject to change)
   11/14: Active Older Adults Thanksgiving potluck, from noon to 2 p.m.
   11/16: Flick N’ Float, showing Free Birds, from 6 to 8 p.m.
   11/22: Parents’ Night Out — 5 to 10 p.m.
   11/23: Bingo night — 3 to 5:30 p.m.
   11/28: It’s Thanksgiving — recreation center will be closed
   The Festival of Trees starts Nov. 30 through Dec. 7.
   AOA events
   Pinochle: First and second Thursday of each month: 12:30 p.m.
   Dominoes/Mexican Train: second and fourth Thursday of each month at 12:30 p.m.
